"I came back to this portrait time after time: Virgil is deep in thought, daydreaming perhaps of chasing a few sheep around the field. His dignified pose and expression is countered by his uncontrollable flyaway hair. The various textures are handled beautifully, great color choices and the secondary lighting really adds to the form. Technically and aesthetically, Virgil takes Best in Show."
